Say What??!

I saw a news headline this week that I never dreamed of seeing in my lifetime.

Man Admits to Vomit Assault at Phillies Game

Are you kidding me?  What is going on in this country?  People are going to Hell in a handbasket!  Allegedly, this 21-year-old guy was pissed off at fellow fans (a man and his 11-year-old daughter) and decided to puke on them.  How do you decide to do something like that?  I mean, is this a pattern with this man?  Do we have to be afraid of serial pukers now?  Had he done this before or did he just think it up out of the blue?  "Hey, I'm mad at this guy and his kid.  I think I'll just spew my stinky, ol' stomach bile all over them."  I'm really concerned about someone who can come up with something as gross as that.  Not only did he do it, he also told his friend over his cell phone that he was going to do it.  Did his friend try to talk him out of it?  Obviously, the guy had to be drunk.  If he were sober, then I'd REALLY be worried!

  1. I had missed this report. There is a Did you see the news article in the Cinti Enquirer about the excessive partying of Miami U students? The reporter referred to one party as a pukefest. Journalism at its finest in a world in crisis.
Hope you are feeling better. Thought I'd let you know I finally got up the nerve and pushed the Publish button. It's a start. Glad to see a new blog from you. Soberly yours, P

  2. Not that I'm defending what the guy did, because it wasn't right, but I must defend the right to puke on-demand, when necessary. Like, when it's a case of life or death, not when it's assault. You see, I had to bring up the barf once and a certain sister did not try to stop me. In all fairness, I didn't really give her enough time to. A long time ago in an ER far, far away, in the middle of the night, a very pregnant nurse said to me, "You have all the symptoms of appendicitis, but you just haven't thrown up yet." She asked for it - that's all I'm saying. My appendix had already burst, I was dying and I needed help. Sometimes you just do what you've got to do to survive. But, I would not do it to assault someone. Just thought you'd like to hear about on-demand puking from another perspective. Hi, Sis. How ya doing? Love you, love your blog!
